Any move by Ukraine towards nuclear weapons will be met with an appropriate response
report Mehr News Agency quoted by Sputnik, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the media of the BRICS countries: Any step to develop nuclear weapons in Ukraine will be met with an appropriate response. Russia will not allow Ukraine to have nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
He added: Russia is interested in the quick end of the war in Ukraine, but it is useless to specify the date for the end of the conflict. Russia is ready to discuss the end of the conflict in Ukraine in a peaceful way, but only based on the Istanbul agreement.
Putin said: The Ukrainian army does not have the ability to fight this battle or use precision weapons because Kiev does not have these weapons.
He added: We are thinking about our soldiers and how to guarantee peace while NATO does not care about Ukrainian soldiers. We are ready to continue the war and victory is ours.
Putin also said about the Middle East: The Security Council resolution on the two-state solution between Israel and Palestine must be implemented. Russia is in contact with Israelis and Palestinians.
Tass news agency of Russia quoted Putin as saying: Attacks on civilian targets in Gaza are horrible. The International Court quickly became silent about the Middle East after the American criticisms.
