Bombing threat on a plane bound for Sydney with 140 passengers
Australian media reported a bomb threat on a plane bound for Sydney.
reported by Mehr News Agency Citing Xinhua, Australia’s Sky News reported that an Air New Zealand plane was bombed at Sydney Airport.
According to this media, the said plane was traveling from Wellington to Sydney with 140 passengers.
Sky News also wrote that the plane landed safely but was still on the runway and tactical operations teams, paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the area.
Air New Zealand confirmed that it was aware of the possible security threat after the plane landed and was quarantined on the runway. The company’s chief operating and safety officer, David Morgan, said it will work with local authorities to enforce security protocols.
