Sources affiliated with Hamas pointed to the date of choosing the successor of the leader of Hamas, Yahya al-Sanwar, who was martyred by the occupation forces.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted Al-Arabi, Mahmoud Mardawi, one of the leaders of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, commented on the selection of the successor of martyr Yahya al-Sanwar.

He said: The process of selecting a successor for the leader of Hamas will not take long and will be done soon. Hamas will be elected according to our organizational rules, and the current situation requires us to choose his successor in a very short period of time. This is a natural process and will not last long.

Mardavi emphasized: Hamas is a big movement and has many leaders. The mechanism and constitution determine the future leader. All will be subject to the decisions that the new leader will make with the brothers in the Politburo.
