reported by Mehr News Agency According to Anatolia News Agency, the meeting of the defense ministers of the Group-7 (G-7) member countries, hosted by the Italian Defense Minister, was held today Saturday in the city of Naples.
In addition to the defense ministers of the G-7 member states, Mark Rutte, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Joseph Burrell, the head of the European Union’s foreign policy, were also present at this meeting.
Gido Crosto, Minister of Defense of Italy, in the opening speech of this meeting, pointing out that the meeting of defense ministers of the G7 member countries will be held for the first time in history, said that it is time for deep discussion and consultation about Defense and security issues have arrived within the framework of the group of seven industrialized countries.
Conflicts in Ukraine, developments in West Asia, Africa and the Indo-Pacific Ocean have become the focus of the G-7 Defense Ministers meeting.
