According to Mehr News Agency, citing Tas, the defense ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) countries From the meeting in Naples, Italy, by publishing a joint statement, they demanded to increase and strengthen the capacities of the defense industries of the member countries.

This statement emphasizes the necessity of “strengthening defense industries, encouraging strong interaction and industrial cooperation with partners”.

The defense chiefs of the G7 countries also emphasized the importance of ensuring reliable, predictable and sustainable access to financial resources for the defense industry.

They also agreed to work “on exploring multinational cooperation in efficient procurement, and aggregating demand to improve efficiency”.

Another part of the statement states that “We will maintain our military superiority through responsible research and development and rapid adoption of new technologies, especially which are in the field of emerging and destructive technologies, we consider very important”.

As ​​stated in this statement, the defense ministers of the United States, England, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, and Japan also intend “to improve interoperability by relying on current common standards” and emphasized the “need to reduce heavy reliance on fossil fuels and produce reliable and skilled labor as a pillar of deterrence and defense”.
