The beginning of the presidential elections and the referendum on joining Brussels in Moldova

reported by Mehr News Agency, according to Rianousti news agency, the voting process for holding presidential elections in Moldova started at 07:00 local time.

The people of Moldova went to the polls to elect their new president in 36 regions and embassies abroad.

In this election, 11 candidates are competing for the seat of the President of Moldova. 6 of the candidates are party members and 5 are independent.

According to the data of the Central Election Commission of Moldova, more than 3 million eligible voters, including citizens living abroad, are expected to participate in these elections.

More than 1,100 local observers and about 280 foreign observers monitor these elections.

At the same time as the presidential election, a referendum will be held on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.

The voting process will end at 21:00 local time and the counting process will begin.
