Putin: It is possible to resolve the Middle East conflict based on the UN Charter

Today, in a meeting with "Erdogan" on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, the Russian President said: Russia and Turkey believe that it is possible to resolve the conflict in the Middle East through a two-state solution based on the UN Charter.

President of Russia said during this meeting: Turkey has expressed interest in cooperation with BRICS. We see perspectives in this field. Relations between Russia and Türkiye are constructive.

Vladimir Putin continued: The positions of Russia and Türkiye regarding the settlement of the situation in the Middle East are very close to each other. Russia and Turkey believe that resolving the conflict in the Middle East through a two-state solution based on the UN Charter is possible.

He further added: Russia hopes that the Akoyo nuclear power plant will be put into operation in 2025. The work on the plan to create a gas hub in Türkiye continues.
