The Finnish ambassador was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry

The statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry in this regard states: Moscow asked its Finnish counterpart to reconsider its decision to confiscate Russian property in this country.

Moscow’s statement adds: Russia will take retaliatory measures if necessary against Finland’s decision to confiscate Russian property in this country.

Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said earlier in response to the seizure of Russian property and assets in Finland that “any illegal decision regarding Russian state property in Finland without There will be no answer.”

He also said: The Russian Embassy has sent a protest note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland following the seizure of Russian properties in Finland.

Last week, the Sputnik news agency wrote that media reports indicate Europe’s plan to prevent the release of seized Russian assets for the long term.

Some media reported on Tuesday, citing a draft statement, that the Group of Seven is set to announce later this month that it will not release Russian assets even after the end of the war in Ukraine.
