Local media in Bolivia announced that gunmen attacked a military base in the country and took 200 soldiers hostage.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency Citing Sputnik, Bolivian local media announced that an armed group took control of a military barracks in the central regions of Bolivia and took more than 200 military personnel hostage.

Bolivian President Luis Arce published a message on X social network and claimed that this armed group is “affiliated” to Evo Morales, the former president of Bolivia. , but did not provide evidence for this claim.

The Bolivian army announced in a statement that an “armed group” kidnapped military forces and took weapons and ammunition from a military base located near the city of Cochabamba in central Bolivia. took over.

Bolivian Foreign Ministry also says that more than 200 military personnel were taken hostage during this incident.

Bolivian armed forces asked this armed group to leave the barracks “immediately and peacefully” as soon as possible, stressing that these actions “are considered treason to the country” will be considered.
