The beginning of the first joint naval exercise between Russia and Indonesia

The first joint naval exercise between Indonesia and Russia began in the port of Surabaya and will continue until Friday.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Sputnik, the Russian and Indonesian navies are holding a joint exercise called “Oruda 2024” for the first time.

This exercise will start this Monday in the port of “Surabaya” and “Java Sea” and will continue until Friday.

This will be the first bilateral exercise between the Indonesian and Russian navies since Indonesia’s independence from Dutch colonial rule 79 years ago.
