China’s complaint against Europe in the World Trade Organization

China has complained to the World Trade Organization about the European Union's actions against the import of Chinese electric cars.

reported by The European Union has decided to increase import tariffs on Chinese electric cars from 8% to 35% for 5 years. Brussels says that Chinese manufacturers enjoy unfair government subsidies.

This tariff increase is supposed to be applied in addition to the 10% tariff on car imports to Europe.

China’s Ministry of Commerce has announced that it strongly opposes Europe’s action and has sued Europe to protect the interests of the development of electric vehicle production and cooperation in increasing the use of green energy in the world. .

The Ministry of Home Affairs stressed that it is a pity that despite public opposition from the people, industry activists and even some member states of the European Union, Brussels again has decided to significantly increase import tariffs on Chinese food.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce of China said that the decision of the European Union has no legal and factual basis and contradicts the rules of the World Trade Organization.
