The message of the large-scale exercise of the Egyptian armed forces to the aggressors
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency According to Russia Elium, the Egyptian armed forces held an exercise in the Mediterranean Sea with the participation of naval and air units and the supervision of military commanders.
In this regard, Major General Mahfouz Marzouq emphasized that the “Deterrence 2024” exercise is unprecedented for several reasons; In this exercise, for the first time, the command center was established in one of the naval units on the water, the helicopter carrier “Jamal Abdul Nasser”, in order to closely monitor the exercise in addition to commanding it.
He added that the naval, ground and air defense forces demonstrated their strength in this exercise. The purpose of that message was to convey the message that the Egyptian armed forces have the deterrent power to face any aggression and can protect the country’s air and sea space as well as its land space.
Marzouq emphasized that the ship is equipped with anti-ship and anti-submarine missiles. The total area that the Egyptian Navy protects in the Mediterranean Sea is 400,000 km, equivalent to 40% of the country’s area.
