The Greek Prime Minister, referring to his informal meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Budapest, said that the goal of normalization should be the main goal in relations between the two countries.
Kriakas Mitsotakis, referring to the meeting between Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Yerapteritis in Athens, added: This meeting was held in a positive atmosphere; But there is still no ground for agreement on basic issues.
While both Turkey and Greece are members of the NATO military alliance, they have been at odds with each other for years over sea borders and energy exploration rights in the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean.
