Consultation of foreign ministers of Syria and Egypt
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted SANA, Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbagh and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati met in Riyadh.
In this meeting, Sabbagh and Abdul Ati reviewed the agenda of the joint meeting of Arab Islamic countries, including the draft resolution of the meeting.
The two sides also discussed some aspects of bilateral relations and the importance of strengthening cooperation between Syria and Egypt in order to serve common interests.
Previously, SANA reported that “Bassam al-Sabbagh”, the Syrian Foreign Minister, attended the preliminary meeting of the Arab and Islamic Ministerial Summit together with his deputy, “Habib Abbas”. He went to Riyadh.
A meeting of leaders will be held tomorrow (Monday) to review the Zionist regime’s war against Palestine and Lebanon and to coordinate regional positions.
This is Al-Sabbagh’s first trip to Riyadh after assuming the post of Foreign Minister instead of Faisal al-Maqdad.
