Spokesperson of Gaza Municipality: 75% of the water wells in Gaza City have been damaged
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted from Palestine Online, Asim al-Nabieh, the spokesperson of the Gaza Municipality, announced the deplorable situation in Gaza City.
The spokesperson of the Gaza Municipality announced that water reaches only 40% of this city and the Palestinian refugees in this city are facing many problems in accessing water.
He stated that the amount of water that citizens have access to is very limited and does not meet their daily needs.
Al-Nabieh said that more than 75 percent of the water wells in Gaza City have been completely or partially damaged.
He also emphasized that more than 100 linear meters of water networks in Gaza have been damaged, which makes it impossible to transfer water to all areas.
Assim Al-Nabieh announced that the lack of sufficient water leads to the spread of epidemic diseases, especially skin diseases.
