Pakistani bride is the only survivor of the bus crash during the wedding ceremony

According to the authorities, currently the only survivor of this deadly accident is the bride. This bus had 25 passengers at the time of the accident, so far 14 bodies have been removed and 10 people are still missing.

Wazir Asad Ali, one of the officials of Gilgit-Baltistan region, said that the “bride” escaped from danger and is being treated in the hospital. It seems that the groom’s family had traveled to this area from Punjab, located 500 km from the place of the accident, to attend the ceremony.

Local police officials have also said that high speed was probably the cause of this fatal accident. Road accidents in Pakistan claim many victims every year. Weak safety measures, insufficient training of drivers and dilapidated infrastructure are among the main reasons for these accidents.
