Putin: Any agreement on Ukraine must protect Russia’s security interests

reported by Mehr News Agency According to the Ryanovosti news agency, the Russian presidential office published more details about the first telephone conversation between the president of this country and the chancellor of Germany after two years.

According to the Kremlin report, Vladimir Putin emphasized during a telephone conversation with Olaf Schultz: Russia has never refused to talk and is still ready to resume talks on Ukraine.

Putin continued the phone conversation with Shultz and added: Any possible agreement on Ukraine should take into account Russia’s interests in the security field and be based on new territorial realities.

Putin stated: The current crisis is the result of NATO’s aggressive policy, which sought to create an anti-Russian base in Ukraine.

According to this report, the dire situation in the Middle East was also one of the issues discussed by the leaders of Russia and Germany.
