Nabih Berri: The American proposal regarding the ceasefire is not acceptable
The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament emphasized that the American ceasefire proposal requires the supervision of Western countries on the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701, which is not acceptable.

Nabiyeh Bari further added: The American proposal for a ceasefire does not include any text that would give the Israeli army freedom of action in case of a suspected threat, as Tel Aviv wants.
He also emphasized that the inclusion of any clause regarding the freedom of action of the Israeli army in Lebanon is unacceptable and cannot even be discussed because it is a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty.
