Although the current US President Joe Biden’s administration has been committed to financing and military Ukraine “for as long as it takes”, the re-election of US President-elect Donald Trump , has increased concerns about the continuation of Washington’s military support to Kiev.
Trump has recently said that his new administration is seriously seeking to resolve the war in Ukraine, and also stressed the need to prevent further bloodshed. Russian officials have described the current war in Ukraine as a “proxy war” of the West against Russia and emphasized that America and its Western allies are ready to continue this war “at the cost of the last Ukrainian”. Moscow has always criticized the military aid to Ukraine and emphasized that this aid did not change the final outcome of the war and would only prolong it.
