German Defense Minister: We must continue to talk with Russia

German Defense Minister announced that in order to achieve peace in Ukraine, it is necessary to continue the talks with Russia.

According to the report of the Mehr correspondent, quoted by Sputnik, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that in order to achieve peace in Ukraine, we must continue the talks with Russia.

He, who was talking to the German media, said about this: We need to continue talking with Russia over and over again about achieving peace in Ukraine.

However, the German Defense Minister emphasized that no change in Russia’s position regarding peace in Ukraine has been seen so far.

The German Defense Minister also emphasized that, in his opinion, the sending of long-range “Taurus” cruise missiles to Kiev will not change the situation on the front lines.

Instead of talking about sending German missiles to Ukraine, Pistorius called for long-term military aid to Kiev.

On Monday, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz defended his recent phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and announced: In this call, I expressed unwavering support I emphasized from Ukraine. I reminded Putin that he should not expect a reduction in the support of Germany, the European Union, and the rest of the world for Ukraine.

He emphasized: I told Putin that now it is his duty to try to end the conflict in Ukraine, and this issue directly depends on his decisions.

Olaf Schultz also announced his very good and important contact with Donald Trump, the president-elect of the United States after winning the 2024 elections of this country.
