Shooting at a traditional ceremony in New Orleans with 12 dead and injured
reported by Mehr News Agency, according to CNN, the New Orleans Police Deputy announced that there was a shooting at a local traditional festival in this city and at least 12 people were killed and wounded.
New Orleans Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick said there were two separate shootings 45 minutes apart.
According to him, apparently a car was involved in this first shooting and fired at the crowd. 9 people were injured and taken to the hospital and all of them survived.
The police discovered two weapons at the crime scene and did not provide any other information about this incident.
Kirkpatirk also added that about 45 minutes later, there was another shooting on the bridge and three more people were shot, and since the car was not able to drive on the bridge, it is obvious that the shooting happened inside the crowd.
