The re-defeat of the Iron Dome against Hezbollah’s powerful missiles

A military affairs expert discussed last night's devastating operation by Lebanese Hezbollah forces against Tel Aviv.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, military affairs expert Fayez al-Daweiri stressed that it is likely that Lebanon’s Hezbollah used Malak missiles in its crushing attacks against Tel Aviv last night.

He added: These missiles have high destructive power and the weight of their explosive head reaches 250 kg. They are similar to Nasr and Fadi missiles in terms of accuracy in targeting positions.

Al-Dweiri added: The Iron Dome system could not intercept this missile. This system consists of three sections: radar, observation and firing. The observation section determines the place where the missile will hit and does not warn if it detects that the said missile will fall in an open area. The reason for the failure of the iron dome may be due to the performance of the firing department.

He said: This system, which covers a geographical area from four kilometers to 70 kilometers, cannot provide a hundred percent defense guarantee. Each missile has a 40% chance of successfully hitting and passing through the Iron Dome system.

Channel 12 of the Zionist regime, quoting the police of this regime, admitted that the Hezbollah missile hit the Bani Barak area, located in the east of Tel Aviv, and was not intercepted.
