Russia: We will respond harshly to Japan’s hostile actions

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan emphasized that this country will give a strong response to the "hostile actions of the Japanese government".

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Tass, Andriy Rudenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, emphasized that Russia will give a strong response to the hostile actions of the Japanese government.

He said about this: We are sorry to say that the reaction of the Japanese government to the words of the President (Vladimir Putin at the meeting of parents of the club) showed once again that Japan has no intention and has no decision to take a positive stance.

Rodenko went on to say: In such a situation, we will be forced to respond strongly to anti-Russian steps based on national interests.

The Russian president announced at the Valdai meeting that Russia and Japan are natural partners due to their proximity, so if Tokyo returns to cooperation, Moscow will not deny it; However, Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya responded by saying that Tokyo considers the Russian president’s statements about his readiness to establish bilateral relations “somewhat positive”, but plans to stick to the sanctions against Moscow.

Japan’s NHK television network last week quoted informed sources as saying that the Japanese government is looking into the possibility of increasing sanctions against North Korea and Russia.

According to this report, Tokyo is concerned that cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang will affect security in Europe and Asia, and Japan also believes that such interaction between Russia and North Korea “violates international law.”

Early this month, Russian and North Korean officials approved the comprehensive cooperation partnership agreement. These documents were signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during Putin’s visit to Pyongyang in June.

According to one of the provisions of this strategic treaty, the two sides agreed that in case of an attack on either side, the other side should provide military assistance.
