In this statement, the Arab Union condemned the efforts of the Zionist regime to expand its hostile actions and emphasized its support for Iraq.

This statement includes a request from the Secretary General of the Arab League to send a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations and the President of the Security Council, stating the support position of the Arab League towards Iraq and the firm opposition of the League. with the claims mentioned in the letter of the foreign minister of the Zionist regime against Baghdad.

In the continuation of this statement, it is stated: We emphasize the necessity of taking immediate measures to stop the ongoing tension in the Middle East region in order to maintain international security and peace.

A few days ago, Gideon Sa’er, the foreign minister of the Zionist regime, sent a letter to the Security Council and requested to stop drone attacks from Iraqi territory, claiming that Tel Aviv is right. Take all necessary measures to protect yourself. It is the responsibility of the Iraqi government not to let the country’s soil be used as a base to carry out attacks against other governments. Israel wants the Iraqi government to fulfill its obligations and take immediate measures to stop and prevent these attacks, while emphasizing the right to self-defense based on the United Nations Charter and taking all necessary measures to protect itself and the Israelis against Iran-backed militias will carry out hostile actions in Iraq.
