A 35-year-old man, living in this residence, has been temporarily arrested on suspicion of starting a fire.
The cause of this incident has not yet been determined.
Currently, about 380 people live in the North Rhine-Westphalia refugee center in Vogelzang.
A fire broke out under the roof of one of the buildings where 18 people lived.
The German police is investigating this by forming a special criminal commission.
