10,000 Iraqi armed forces were deployed near the common border with Syria
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency According to Sumaria News, published reports indicate that Iraq has deployed five brigades of its armed forces near the common border with Syria.
In this report, it is stated that three brigades of army forces and 2 brigades of Hashd Shaabi forces, equivalent to six to 10 thousand troops, have been deployed near the common borders with Syria.
Earlier, Yahya Rasool, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, emphasized that the country’s common borders with Syria are completely safe.
He added: Ensuring full security of Iraqi borders is our priority. The equipment of the Iraqi forces is stationed on the borders of this country. These weapons include the latest military equipment and the borders are also monitored with drones.
Rasoul added: Army forces are stationed behind the Iraqi border forces to ensure the security of these areas. The Iraqi armed forces carry out continuous border surveillance operations.
