The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized that Beijing will not agree with any official interaction between the US and the Taiwan region, any visit of Taiwanese officials to the US under any name or under any pretext and Also, any kind of complicity or support for the separatists who support “Istiqlal Tawan” and their separatist activities is strongly opposed.
He added: The issue of Taiwan is at the center of China’s main interests and is the first red line in China-US relations that should not be crossed. We ask the US to see the separatist nature of Lai Ching-te and the officials of the Taiwan Democratic Progressive Party with completely open eyes, and fully understand the great danger that the activities of separatists supporting “Taiwan independence” pose to the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait, and fully adhere to the principle of “One China”. and adhere to the “Three Beijing-Washington Joint Statements” and based on the commitments of American leaders, including not supporting the independence of Taiwan, stopping official interaction with the Taiwan region, and stopping sending any wrong messages to the troops. The separatist should act as a supporter of Taiwan’s independence.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry also added that Beijing is closely monitoring the developments and will take decisive and powerful measures to defend China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
