Egyptian Foreign Minister: Cairo is conducting regional and international consultations to curb the Syrian crisis
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati spoke about the Gaza war and the recent developments in Syria.
Egyptian Foreign Minister said: Efforts and calls to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza continue. Our efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement have not stopped.
Abdul Ati continued: Currently, two delegations from the Hamas and Fatah movements are discussing how to manage the Gaza Strip after the war in Cairo. The Palestinian issue is the red line of Egypt and Jordan, and these two countries do not allow any action to displace the Palestinians.
Egyptian Foreign Minister also said regarding the recent developments in Syria: Egypt is making numerous regional and international contacts to contain the Syrian crisis.
Abdul Ati continued: The events in Syria are very worrying and we insist on preserving Syria and the unity of its lands. Efforts should be made to control the situation in Syria so that dangerous consequences do not plague the region.
