Erdoğan: Our priority is to maintain peace on Türkiye’s borders

President of Turkey announced on Tuesday that Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, assured that Turkey’s priority is to maintain peace. It is in its borders.

The President of Turkey said that Damascus should enter into a real political process to prevent the escalation of the situation in this country.

Erdogan also informed Sudani that his country will take measures to prevent PKK from abusing the events in Syria.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced last Thursday that the Syrian army has entered into battle with the terrorists who attacked the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib.

Last Thursday, elements affiliated with the terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly known as Jabhat al-Nusra) attacked villages and residential areas in a wide area in Aleppo provinces. and attacked Syria’s Idlib as well as military sites.
