According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency According to the Iraqi Waa news agency, Yahya Rasul, the spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, announced this Sunday that the situation on the borders of Iraq and Syria is under the control of the Iraqi forces.
He added: “The borders are completely safe and the army, Hashd Shaabi and Border Guard forces are present in the region.”
Rasoul also announced the strengthening of the units and said: the situation on the borders of Iraq and Syria is very good and under control and monitored with thermal cameras.
An hour earlier, Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari announced: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is constantly monitoring the border situation between Iraq and Syria.
He announced the presence of army and Hashd Shaabi forces at the border and strengthening the border with these forces.
He added: Our borders with Syria are completely safe.
Iraqi news sources also announced that the Al-Qaim border crossing with Syria is completely closed and the Iraqi border is safe.
