Marine accident in the southeast of South Korea with 7 deaths
At least one person has been killed after a fishing boat collided with a sandblaster in southeastern South Korea.
reported by Mehr News Agency According to Xinhua, seven of the eight crew members were killed after a fishing boat and a sandblasting ship collided near the coast of Gyeongju in the southeast of South Korea.
Yonhap news agency wrote that one person was also missing in this accident. The ship sank shortly after the collision. Police teams and rescue helicopters have been sent to the area to speed up rescue operations.
Seven crew members killed in this accident died after being transferred to the hospital due to the severity of their injuries. In the preliminary investigation, the cause of the accident was the distraction of the boat’s helmsmen.
