The price of a barrel of Brent North Sea oil today increased by 45 cents, equivalent to 0.62%, to 72 dollars and It reached 64 cents. Texas Intermediate oil West Texas Intermediate also increased by 45 cents, equivalent to 0.66%, to 69 Dollars and 4 cents are traded.
China announced on Monday that it will adopt relatively easy monetary policies in 2025. Beijing is trying to boost its economy by easing these policies for the first time in 14 years.
China’s crude oil imports in November increased for the first time in the last 7 months and were more than 14% higher than last year.
The American Petroleum Institute announced on Tuesday that the country’s crude oil and fuel reserves have increased over the past week. US crude oil reserves increased by 499,000 barrels per day in the week ending December 6, and the country’s gasoline reserves increased by 2.85 million barrels.
The official report of these reserves will be published today by the US Energy Information Administration. Reuters analysts expect US oil reserves to decrease by 900,000 barrels and gasoline reserves to increase by 1.7 million barrels.
