He said this in a joint press conference with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed in Ankara.

Erdogan added: The joint statement agreed between Somalia and Ethiopia will be a basis for cooperation, economic development and prosperity in the region based on mutual respect.

He congratulated the leaders of the two countries for reaching this historic agreement and thanked them for their constructive approach.
