Pederson went to Damascus

report Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, news sources announced the arrival of United Nations Special Representative for Syria Geir Pederson in Damascus.

These sources stated that this is Pederson’s first trip after the fall of Damascus to terrorists.

While on Saturday, Pederson stressed the importance of launching an inclusive political path in Syria and called for the preservation of institutions in this country.

Pederson emphasized: Government institutions in Syria should not collapse and humanitarian aid should enter this country as soon as possible.

The UN representative in Syria also emphasized the importance of launching a real political path that would bring all factions together in Syria.

Pederson’s office emphasized on Friday that Pederson will go to Damascus as soon as possible to consult with all parties.
