The Republic of Congo sued Apple

Reuters reported that the Republic of Congo has sued Apple's subsidiaries in France and Belgium.

According to the reporter Mehrbah quoted from Reuters The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has announced that it has filed a criminal complaint against Apple’s subsidiaries in France and Belgium for using mineral elements extracted in disputed areas in the east of this country.

Congo has rich resources of tin, and tungsten, which is used in the production of computer electronic equipment and mobile smartphones. Congo claims to have documents showing that Apple’s subsidiaries have used these elements mined in eastern Congo, which is dominated by armed groups, in the production of their equipment. >.

UN experts have announced that these armed groups have massacred civilians, raped women, looted , and other crimes against the Congolese people.
