The free trade agreement with Iran was approved in the Parliament of Kazakhstan
reported by Kazinform, Kazakh senators approved the free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This contract was signed on December 25, 2023 in Saint Petersburg.
The purpose of this contract is to develop commercial-economic cooperation between the parties to the contract for trade without paying duties for a wide range of goods.
According to this agreement, the Eurasian Economic Union and Iran undertake to remove duties from many goods. Therefore, the goods that are imported from the territory of one side to the other side, have the same advantages that similar goods have inside.
According to one of Kazakhstan’s senators, the bilateral trade between Iran and Kazakhstan reached 303 million dollars in 2023. Kazakhstan’s exports to Iran mostly include 43.7 million dollars of barley, 18.1 million dollars of wheat, 8.8 million dollars of waste obtained from the extraction of other vegetable oils, 5.9 million dollars Canola and 83 million tons of other goods.
