The death toll of Pakistan’s air attack on Afghanistan has increased to 50 people
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Sputnik, Afghanistan’s Acting Ministry of Border and Tribal Affairs announced that more than 50 people were killed and 40 were injured in Pakistan’s airstrike in Paktika province in eastern Afghanistan.
According to this report, Noorullah Nouri also added that Pakistani attacks were carried out against “Waziristan” refugees.
Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid announced late on Tuesday that Pakistan bombed four areas in Barmal district in Paktika province.
He also said: the total number of dead is 46, most of whom were children and women, and 6 others were injured.
Taliban Defense Ministry called these attacks “brutal” and an example of “open aggression” in its statement on Tuesday night.
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) also called for an investigation into this attack to ensure accountability, prevent repetition and protect the rights of victims.
These attacks indicate the escalation of border tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, which has been on the rise since the Taliban came to power in 2021.
