Lavrov’s consultation with the Baku authorities focused on the investigation of the Embraer 190 crash.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced the consultation between Lavrov and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the investigation into the downing of the Embraer 190.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Sputnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today Saturday: Sergey Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Republic) Azerbaijan about the crash of the Baku Airlines plane near Aktao of Kazakhstan discussed.

Russian Foreign Ministry added in this regard: Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Republic) of Azerbaijan They emphasized the agreement of the heads of the two countries about the need to conduct a full investigation into the air accident near Aktau.

A few hours ago, the president of Russia apologized to his counterpart in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the plane crash in this country.

Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines, December 25 on the route from Baku to Grozny. It crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. At the time of the accident, this plane had 67 passengers, including 62 passengers, most of whom were citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and among them there were citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as five crew members.

According to the latest reports, 38 people including seven Russian citizens were killed in this accident and 29 people were rescued.
