The value of the euro against the dollar reached the lowest level in the last 2 years

The reason for this decrease in the value of the euro was the problems of the European Union in the field of energy supply and the continuation of economic stagnation in Germany.

In fact, since November 2022, the euro has never experienced such a low level of value. At that time, the embargo on the import of energy carriers from Russia and the prediction of a gas deficit in Europe in the winter caused the value of the euro to drop.

It is said that the German economy is still suffering from the consequences of these sanctions, so that the country’s economy has experienced negative growth in 2023 and 2024. Of course, for 2025, the German central bank has predicted an economic growth of 0.2 for the economy of this European country.

Germany, which was once considered the industrial pole of Europe, has faced a crisis in recent years due to the embargo on energy imports from Russia, with a significant increase in the price of energy carriers.

Many large German companies, including Volkswagen and Bosch, announced their decision to lay off their employees on a large scale in 2024.
