The latest stance of Lebanese politicians regarding the election of General Aoun for the presidency

Lebanon’s group of independent and progressive representatives announced in a statement that they have decided to vote for General Joseph Aoun as president. and considered this choice as a step towards the country’s political stability.

But the free national movement (Al-Tayar al-Watani al-Harr) expressed its serious opposition to the election of General Aoun and this decision described it as “contrary to the constitution”.
