After the failure of Joseph Aoun to obtain the majority of the votes of the Lebanese parliamentarians, the second round of the parliamentary session to elect the president is scheduled to be held again after a 2-hour break.

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted Al-Mayadeen, Joseph Aoun, the commander of the Lebanese army, who was said to have the best chance of being elected as the president. The president of this country has not been able to get the majority got votes.

The session of the Lebanese Parliament was held today after 2 years of the president’s seat being vacant, but it failed to fill this post.

After the defeat of Lebanese parliamentarians in the first round of the country’s presidential election, Nabieh Barry, the Speaker of the Parliament ordered the postponement of the session for 2 hours.

Joseph Aoun the main candidate for the presidency of Lebanon to win the presidential seat with 86 votes out of 128 Parliament’s vote was needed.

In the first round of voting that was held a few moments ago, he was only able to get 71 votes and failed to be elected as the president.

Najib Miqati, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Advancement of Lebanese Affairs, also said that Aoun in the second round of voting for The title of president will be chosen.
