25 million US dollars reward for the arrest of Maduro and several Venezuelan government officials
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Sky News, the United States announced that it has increased the reward for providing information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The U.S. Treasury Department announced in a statement Friday that it is offering up to $25 million for information leading to the arrest of Nicolas Maduro and Diosdado Cabello. It has been assigned to him to become the minister of the interior.
The US State Department also announced that up to $15 million has been set aside for information that would lead to the arrest of new Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino.
The US Department of Treasury announced that, in addition, new sanctions have been imposed against the state oil company and Venezuela’s airlines.
The award was announced while Maduro was sworn in for a third consecutive term as the president of Venezuela after the elections held last year.
