UAE and Lebanon agree to reopen the Abu Dhabi embassy in Beirut
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News, according to the official news agency of the UAE, the President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, congratulated his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun on his election as the new president of the country during a telephone conversation.
In this telephone consultation, he agreed with the Lebanese side to take the necessary measures to reopen the UAE embassy in Beirut.
The head of the UAE added that Abu Dhabi supports Lebanon’s security and stability.
The new president of Lebanon also emphasized his country’s desire to expand relations with the UAE in various fields.
It should be noted that at the end of October 2021 the UAE withdrew its diplomats from Lebanon because the words Minister George Qardahi had caused a crisis between Lebanon and the UAE when he informed Lebanon that Yemen’s Ansarullah forces were defending themselves against the aggression of Saudi Arabia and the UAE against Yemen.
