Israeli media: A ceasefire will be announced at noon today
According to Mehr News Agency to Quoting from Qatar’s Al Jazeera channel, Israel’s Channel 13 predicted: The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will be announced at noon today, Tuesday.
This news comes as international pressure increases to end the conflict in Gaza.
An Israeli government official also confirmed that the US special envoy conveyed a strong message from US President-elect Donald Trump to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and asked him to reach a cease-fire agreement as soon as possible. /p>
This government official has also announced: This agreement will have the support of the majority of cabinet members.
In this regard, the American Axios news site reported, quoting an official: In the first phase of the agreement, Israeli forces will withdraw to the Hail area in the Gaza Strip and near the border.
He said: The Israeli army also controlled the Netsarim crossing in the center of the Gaza Strip and the Philadelphia axis (Salah Al-Din) at the border of Egypt will gradually leave.
This official added: The Netsarim crossing and the Philadelphia axis are two key points of disagreement in the past negotiations. It was Israel and Hamas that has now been agreed upon.
