Danko said: From our point of view, this energy problem is political pressure, and it doesn’t matter where or how we get gas, but the important thing is how we intend to solve this problem. Zelensky has learned how to play a role in a political theater and exploits the issue of gas supply.
He added: This (abuse) is harmful for the entire European Union, but in the long run, Western European countries invest in this issue because Eastern European Union countries are losing their competitive capacities. .
According to him, Slovakian authorities should apply subsidies to reduce energy prices. He added: “We are losing our competitive power and this is happening throughout the European Union.”
Following Kiev’s refusal to renew the Russian gas transfer agreement, Moscow’s gas exports to Europe through Ukraine were completely cut off on January 1. On January 9, he threatened Kiev to adopt more stringent measures and announced that the issue of gas transmission should be resolved. Fico later invited Zelensky to Slovakia, somewhere near the Ukrainian border, but Zelensky in response asked him to go to Kiev!
