Ethanol price increase and methanol price decrease at the beginning of 2025
reported by Mehr Reporter The global markets of two important products, ethanol and methanol, have experienced significant changes since the beginning of 2025. The price of ethanol increased by 3.25% compared to the decrease of 4.08% in the price of methanol.
Ethanol has increased by $0.06 (6 cents) per gallon, or 3.25%, to $1.74 since the beginning of 2025. This data is based on the Contract for Difference (CFD) trades that track the underlying commodity market. Historically, ethanol prices reached a record high of $4.33 in June 2006. On the other hand, methanol has decreased by 113 yuan per ton or 4.08% and reached 2647 yuan since the beginning of 2025. This data is based on the Contract for Difference (CFD) trades that track the underlying commodity market. Historically, the price of methanol reached a record high of 4,278 yuan in October 2021.
