Iraqi sources announced that five thousand pilgrims from the member countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council have entered Iraq in the last two days and on the eve of the martyrdom of Imam Kazem (AS).

According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Waa news agency, the Ministry of Interior of Iraq pointed out that five thousand pilgrims from the member countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council have arrived in the last two days and on the eve of the martyrdom of Imam Kazem (a.s.). have become Iraq, he informed about the smoothness of this process.

Nashat al-Khafaji, director general of the passport, civil status and residency department of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, said that during the past two days, a large number of pilgrims to Imam Kazem (a.s.) passed through the Sufwan border crossing. They entered Iraq with Kuwait.

Al-Khafaji stated that more than five thousand pilgrims from Kuwait, Bahrain and other member countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council entered Iraq through Safwan.

He emphasized that the reception of the pilgrims is done well and the efforts of the administration staff will continue to ensure the arrival of the last pilgrim.

Al-Khafaji pointed out the full cooperation between all relevant parties for the easy and orderly entry of pilgrims.
