The new US sanctions against Russia, which include more than 100 oil tankers and 2 oil producers of this country, caused the price of both of these oil indices to increase by more than 1% for the fourth consecutive week.
Analysts believe that these sanctions will limit oil supply at least in the short term.
But despite sanctions affecting the supply of about 1 million barrels per day of Russian oil to Russia, the recent price increase will be short-lived due to Trump’s actions. Trump has promised to help end the Russia-Ukraine war quickly, which could mean lifting some restrictions in exchange for a deal.
Trump, who is set to officially become US president today, is also expected to issue new announcements in the first hours of his inauguration, including the end of a legal deadline for US natural gas export licenses. The purpose of these measures is to strengthen the country’s economy.
The easing of tensions in the Middle East following the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between the Zionist regime and Hamas has been one of the reasons for the increase in oil prices.
