Arab League: The occupation of Lebanon has no justification other than Israel’s expansionist tendencies

The Secretary General of the Arab League called the occupation of the Syrian Golan region illegal, stating that "we want to preserve the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel".

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al-Masirah, “Ahmed Abul Ghait”, Secretary General of the Arab League, said that the occupation of the Golan is illegal and has no justification other than Israel’s expansionist tendencies.

He added: We want to preserve the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel.

The Secretary General of the Arab League further stated: We hope that the Security Council will support the formation of two governments.

He added: We support the will of the Syrian people and their wishes for a better life.

Abul Ghait said: We hope that the process of political transition in Syria will be successful and that, along with preserving the unity and territorial integrity of this country, it will prepare the ground for exiting the crisis.

The statements of the Secretary General of the Arab League regarding the occupation of the Golan have been raised while the news published by the Zionist media revealed Israel’s attempt not to withdraw from the Lebanese territory after the end of the 60-day deadline. At the same time as this news was published, Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced in a statement that it does not accept Israel’s delay in withdrawing from Lebanese territory and considers this to be a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and Lebanon’s territorial integrity.
