Iraqi President: Iran is an important country; We have good relations with Tehran
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency quoted by Bawaba Al-Ahram, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid emphasized that the country’s relations with Iran and America are good.
He added: Iraq is no longer the field of terrorist operations and these operations in this country have reduced to only a few cases.
Rashid stated: The armed groups in Iraq are under the control and supervision of the government of this country.
He added: Iran is an important country and our relations with Tehran are good. Decisions in Iraq are made by our own hands and Baghdad is not under the control of any country.
The president of Iraq said regarding the presence of American forces in this country that these forces are present in Iraq based on bilateral agreements.
He also pointed to Iraq’s efforts to mediate between Syrian Kurdish forces and the Jolani terrorist regime and expressed concern about terrorist operations on the borders of Iraq.
